"Great location. Good hotel." Stayed at Rydges for 3 nights in April. Superb location and an excellent base from which to explore the city but if you want to spend a lot of time staying in the hotel soaking up the ambiance......this isint for you. Staff were friendly. Room was clean spacious, modern and well maintained. The real winner for me was the restaurant. Wonderful friendly staff, superb food and a comprehensive wine list meant that we took quite a while to eat dinner in the evenings. The Rydges is all that it says it is......no more...no less. I would stay here again.

"Good hotel!" We stayed with two small children in the Rydges and we loved it. A good location, very friendly staff, very clean room and good breakfast and dining. We had a nice room with a beautiful view. It was a very pleasant stay!

"Great Location, Large Room, Great Staff" If you want to be centrally located in Auckland, this is the spot. Only one block from the Sky Tower, you can walk anywhere in the CBD. Front Desk team member Lauren was absolutely awsome. From sorting out my luggage that the airline lost to pointing out things to do and see. The rooms (1213) were spacious, well kept and had all the features you'd expect. I had only two gripes from my visit (a) the advertised Happy Hour had middys of some terrible tap brew for $4.00 - not good value and (b) $10.00 for an hour of internet access or $30.00 per day which is tant amount to highway robbery.
